How it works
Frequently asked questions
How does the Word to PDF conversion actually work?
Honestly: this tool converts your .docx to a print-ready page in the browser using the open-source mammoth.js library, then uses your browser's built-in print-to-PDF (the "Print / Save as PDF" button just opens the print dialog — choose "Save as PDF" as the destination). There's no server-side conversion and no PDF file is generated by us.
Which Word formats are supported?
Modern .docx files only (Word 2007 and later). The older .doc format, .rtf, .odt and password-protected files are not supported. Complex layouts may render slightly differently than in Microsoft Word — headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and images are preserved, but exact page fidelity isn't guaranteed.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. The whole conversion happens locally in your browser with mammoth.js loaded from a public CDN. Your file never leaves your device — nothing is uploaded, stored or shared.
.docx → print-ready page → PDF · 100% local — your document never leaves this page.
