Frequently asked questions
Does editing metadata change the PDF content?
No. Only the document information fields are updated — every page stays exactly as it was.
Why doesn't my phone's file manager show the new title?
Some apps and viewers ignore embedded metadata and show the file name instead. The data is in the file (check in a desktop PDF reader's Document Properties), but not every viewer displays it.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Reading and writing happens entirely in your browser with the pdf-lib library — your PDF never leaves this page.
