How it works
Frequently asked questions
How is the trip cost calculated?
Fuel needed is distance ÷ mileage, and the total cost is fuel needed × fuel price. Cost per km is simply the total cost ÷ distance. For example: 250 km at 18 km/l with ₹96.72/l needs about 13.9 litres and costs about ₹1,343.
Can I use this for any vehicle type?
Yes. As long as you know your vehicle's average mileage in kilometres per litre, this works for cars, bikes, SUVs, trucks and any other fuel-powered vehicle.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser with plain JavaScript — your distance, mileage and fuel price never leave this page.
Fuel needed = distance ÷ mileage · Total cost = fuel needed × fuel price · 100% local — nothing is uploaded.
